The descendants of Turkish-Australian Youth Recruited Extremists

A young Turkish-Australian descent reportedly affected by extremist teachings in Australia.

Tolga Cifci 20-year-old was among three men indicted for the attack on Christian Martinez, a law imposed 40 lashes for drinking alcohol.

This incident is very surprising Turkish descent Australian citizens. Chairman of Intercultural Foundation, based in Auburn Ahmet Keskin stated, difficult to believe, a Turkish citizen can be involved in incidents like this.

"Turkish Muslims are peace-loving Muslims like any other," says Ahmet, as quoted by ANI on Monday (08/01/2011).

Auburn is a region filled by the Turks, but in the last 18 months, three Islamic groups, doing da'wah in the suburbs.

Some claimed that, some Islamic groups there practicing hardliners who reject the outside influence of Islam into daily life, and they often recruit young members.

"The group is trying to move to western Sydney to recruit other personnel who is a Muslim from Turkey," said Director of the Islamic Forum Australia Kuranda Seyit.

It is said, the influence of the group will expand as they spread their ideology in this country.
