U.S. Warships Exercise Bersama Philippines

Three U.S. warships (the U.S.) will be participating in combat exercises with the Philippine Navy this month.

Combat exercises will be conducted in the Spratly Islands. Similarly, as reported by ABC, Tuesday (06/14/2011).

Two destroyers and a rescue ship will be joined by four Philippine Navy ship on 28 June.

Joint naval exercise was conducted while China and the Philippines menegangnya relationships relevant territorial claims in the Spratly Islands.

However, Philippine Navy spokesman Omar Tonsay stated, this exercise is not related to the strained ties between China and the Philippines.

The Philippine government today stepped up to claim the South China Sea. They even called the South China Sea as the western Philippine Sea.
