Durham (News CAIRO) - When Iqbal Ahmad survey the damage to the mosque Fayetteville Street, the outbreak of the windows and doors, he stole a computer monitor, which overturned Sunday school supplies, he concluded this was not ordinary theft.

"A thief does not destroy all the windows and doors," said Ahmad, who served in the maintenance Ibad Jamaat Masjid Ar-Rahman. Ahmad discovered the damage when he came to pray on Monday morning.

More worrying for Ahmad and other leaders at the mosque is what they see as a pattern. This summer someone broke some windows and doors the same. And six months ago, during worship, two men opened the door and started throwing stones while shouting obscenities. The incident was reported to the police, but no arrests made.

This is the third violent incident in Jaamat Ibad Ar-Rahman. Mosque leaders said they first saw the damage when the congregation comes to morning prayers on Monday. Mosque leaders said they want police to increase patrols.

Mosque leaders and national Muslim advocacy group wondered whether the disorder should be investigated as a hate crime.

"We ask law enforcement to investigate at least with a view toward patterns of bias," said Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in Washington.

The mosque is located within a few hundred yards from the police substation next to Food Lion on Fayetteville Street.

Durham Police Capt. Rick Pendergrass said that the investigation had begun and that it was too early to comment on.

"We consider all serious crimes, especially if it happens to religious institutions," said Pendergrass.

The mosque, located in a low brick building near the campus of North Carolina Central University, perhaps the oldest in the Triangle. Founded in 1981 and moved to current location in 1988. He attracted a diverse group of Muslims, most of whom are new immigrants.

About 500 people attended Friday afternoon prayers. But like many mosques, the room also serves as a community center. There is a playground in front, and offices as well as Sunday school classrooms are next to the room of worship.

"There are women and children in here all the time," said Faisal Khan, one congregation to another. "People are afraid. This is a consideration of safety."

Ibad Ar-Rahman into the news this summer after the arrest of seven people hit by accusations of terrorism Triangle. The leader of the group, Daniel Boyd and his family, worship in the mosque, although the mosque itself is not thought to get a part in the indictment.

Vandalism is not uncommon in mosques throughout the country. A spokesman for CAIR, a Muslim advocacy group, said that seeing a spike in such incidents during the Muslim holy month, Ramadan, recently. In October, a mosque in Houston has been destroyed, and the house of a Muslim woman who followed the election for city council in San Francisco were pelted with eggs.

But people who pray at the mosque are those who obey the law and has worked hard in establishing good relations with their neighbors, said Imam Amr Dabour, worship leader at the mosque.

"The mission of this place is clear," said Dabour. "We want to practice our religion of peace and security. We're not against anybody."

Until the doors can be repaired, some people have started sleeping in the mosque to prevent any more incidents.

The number of incidents between Israeli security forces and Palestinian protesters continued to increase in the city that claimed Israel as a Jewish temple locations tersebu. Dozens of people were injured and arrested in recent weeks.

Referring to the clashes between Israeli security forces and Arab protesters in Jerusalem in recent weeks, Jordan's ambassador to the kingdom Hasyimi explain these concerns about the events that continue to occur, because it will lead to the events of 1969, namely arson attempt by Al-Aqsa Mosque Denis Michael Rohan from Australia.

Rohan is a devout Christian, who later arrested and found to have mental disorders.

Rohan called himself the "messenger of God" and said that he committed arson at their "holy whisper." He put in a mental hospital and later deported from Israel.

"We fear that in the short term, no such incident that may happen again," said al-Hussein. "It will burn excess emotion, (and) the consequences will be very severe."

At warned that the U.S. did not realize the serious consequences that may result from such incident in the peace process, and also for the entire Middle East region.

The threat of attacks on religious sites such as Al-Aqsa Mosque is the thing that really will damage and reverse the U.S. policy, "Zeid said." However, there is no discussion about this in Washington. There's something not right. "

Jordanian diplomat said the two-state solution would be useless if Israel continues to insist the government and refused to discuss the status of the capital.

"If the problem continues to be left Jerusalem a protracted, if the problem of Jerusalem can not be resolved, then no agreement will be reached, even if they negotiate about other places," he said. "Why (the Palestinians) have to negotiate? There is no purpose behind it. What are the advantages to be gained from Arab countries?"

"If there is no two-state solution for the problem of Jerusalem, is there another way?" asked al-Hussein.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu proposed only delay the construction of new settlements in the West Bank, where Israel would be allowed to build 3,000 units or a complete home. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton seemed to agree it is on his last trip to the Middle East. This is in contrast to Obama's initial demands for Israel to freeze the settlements.

Shortly after meeting with Clinton last month, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that he would not stand for election in January was. The aide said the decision had something to do with Clinton's partiality towards Israel on the issue of illegal Jewish settlements

TEHRAN (AFP CAIRO) - Iran has given response to a draft agreement that was mediated by the UN nuclear watchdog to which countries will send most of which have enriched uranium abroad.

Arom International Energy Agency (IAEA), an organization based in Vienna, confirmed on Thursday that they had received the initial response from Iran.

A source close to Iran's chief nuclear negotiator said that Tehran is seeking two important changes in the agreement, the request delivery of uranium to be gradual and simultaneous exchange of nuclear fuel in return.

The response was issued after President Ahmadinejad said that he was ready to cooperate with Western powers over the issue of nuclear fuel and technology.

"We welcome the exchange of fuel, nuclear cooperation, construction of power plants and reactors. We are ready to cooperate," he said in a live broadcast on local television.

Ahmadinejad added that Iran will not retreat "one iota" over its nuclear rights, and that the supply of nuclear fuel for Tehran's reactors will test the "honesty" of global power.

Nazanine Moshiri, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Tehran, said Iran's proposed amendments to the contents of the agreement is very important for the country.

"What Ahmadinejad said in his speech is that this is an opportunity to evaluate the honesty of a world power, and it's important for Iran."

"The importance of this case is the availability of extra time. Iran will continue to enrich uranium at Natanz plant and they will still be able to replace anything that sent abroad," he said.

Pact to allow Iran receives nuclear fuel for a research reactor, designed to help dispel fear in western countries who believe that Iran intends to build nuclear weapons.

Moin Baqer, Iran specialist writer and journalist, said that the Ahmadinejad government may see the positive side of the deal if it could reduce international sanctions.

"I think that if sanctions are lifted, it will help Iran's economy because they really can not face major problems in foreign policy while at the same time have an internal problem of unemployment," he said.

The news came as the team returned to IAEA headquarters in Vienna, Austria, after inspecting the controversial nuclear power plant near the city of Qom.

Disclosure of Qom nuclear power plant last month increased the international concern over Iran's nuclear program.

Iran has been enriching uranium - the most controversial aspects of its nuclear project - for several years at another factory located in the center of Natanz, despite three penalties that have been granted by the United Nations.

WASHINGTON (Reuters CAIRO) - The U.S. Congress has passed a resolution that rejected the findings of a UN report that Israel committed war crimes during its military offensive into Gaza.

Congress to vote on Tuesday, with the result of 344 vs. 36, for a non-binding resolution calling on Barack Obama to defend his opposition to the report written by a panel led Richard Goldstone, a judge from South Africa.

U.S. Congressional resolution calling the report is biased and is not necessary to consider further or get legitimacy.

The report accused Israel of committing war crimes in a conflict that lasted 22 days in December through January.

The report was delivered most of his criticism of Israeli actions in the assault into the coastal region, where human rights organization said that about 1,400 Palestinians - many of whom are women and children - were killed.

Thirteen Israelis, including three civilians, were killed in the war.

The vote, Congress made the day before the UN General Assembly debate to its own resolution that supports the discovery of the Goldstone report.

"The report was not written to discuss the 12,000 rockets that Hamas deliberately launched to slaughter the people of Israel, against Israel in many ways an effort to minimize Palestinian civilian casualties. So there are many different standards being applied," he told Al Jazeera.

But when asked whether he had read the entire report Goldstone, Rothman said he had read a summary only.

"I did not read all 400 or 500 page report, but I read a summary that is designed to be read by members of congress and other world leaders. I find it very, very biased and one sided."

Last week Goldstone sent a letter to U.S. Congress, said that the draft resolution the U.S. has "factual inaccuracies and instances in which information and statements in the report is understood out of context."

He filed several objections and clarification of the ideas expressed in the resolution.

In response to criticism Goldstone, three-part resolution was amended on Tuesday to clarify that Goldstone had been trying to extend the mandate of the commission for his team to investigate claims that Hamas has also violated international law during the War of Gaza.

Goldstone report demanding an independent investigation against Israeli actions during the war.

The report called for the case transferred to the International Military Tribunal at The Hague if Israel did not investigate allegations of war crimes addressed in the Zionist state that within six months.

The report called for the case transferred to the International Military Tribunal at The Hague if Israel did not investigate allegations of war crimes addressed in the Zionist state that within six months.

KABUL (Reuters CAIRO) - General Abdul Rashid Dostum, a former Afghan warlord who controversially, warned Washington that sending more U.S. troops into Afghanistan would only hinder the war against the Taliban.

Only a solution that was led by Afghans who can bring victory, he believes.

His comments in an interview with The Daily Telegraph was made when U.S. Ambassador to Kabul, Gen. Karl Eikenberry, warns Obama not to send thousands of U.S. troops to prop up the regime of President Hamid Karzai.

General Dostum, an ethnic Uzbek, was a military leader in the center of the Northern Alliance that pushed the Taliban from Kabul in 2001.

He believes that past success is based on the Afghan-led troops are fighting for their own future families. Today, he said, the number of senior Afghan military casualties were ignored because of U.S. and NATO commanders said the shot.

"The failure of the Afghan army is a matter of commitment and passion for work: the more foreign and Afghan forces less way to see that this war belongs to them," he said. "In the last six years, I have not heard from one of the Afghan officials at the rank captain or other major ratings were killed in the fighting.

"During this same period hundreds of U.S. and other NATO troops have been killed. This is a big disgrace for the government of Afghanistan and its people.

He said the Afghan military leadership has become too dependent on Western powers, placing the U.S. and NATO personnel at greater risk.

General Dostum remains influential in Afghanistan, its support to help President Karzai was re-elected earlier this month, though in the midst of allegations of violations of human rights.

He was blamed for the death lemasnya around 300 Taliban prisoners when they are being transported from prison.

Since then, he was sacked as the supreme commander of the Armed Forces chief of staff to Afghanistan last year after his bodyguards kidnap a rival ethnic leader, an accused drug dealer, but has been restored.

He believes Western leaders erroneously thought that the Taliban could be persuaded of the leadership of Mullah Omar.

Western pressure for centralization of power in Kabul exclude local people from the key promises and billions of dollars in aid. It enriches the political elite but failed to reduce poverty, while the weakening of local initiatives, he said.

He said the West had also misunderstood the role of commander in the war-torn Afghan society. "Are all bad commanders, even those who fight against the Taliban and al-Qaeda and has been stripped? They demanded a unicorn in Kabul."

Unlike the UK and U.S. strategists, who supports the political "reconciliation" with "non-ideological" Taliban, General Dostum believes military victory was possible.

Abdul Rashid Dostum (born 1954) was a powerful warlord in Afghanistan.

Dostum was born in Khvajeh Do Kuh, Afghanistan. In 1970 he began working for gas filling in Sheberghan, Jowzjan Province. He joined the Afghan army in 1978, against the mujahideen in Afghanistan in 1980. He fought in a coalition with Ahmad Shah Massoud against Gulbuddin Hekmatyar in 1992. The Taliban seized Kabul in 1996, forcing Dostum to retreat into Mazar-i-Sharif. When his troops joined the Taliban in 1997, Dostum left Afghanistan and went to Turkey.

Dostum has served as deputy secretary of defense for Mr. Karzai in the national government in Kabul. In March 2003, Dostum established the North Zone of Afghanistan, against the will of interim president Hamid Karzai. On May 20, 2003, after nearly hit by an attempted assassination, Dostum held the position of "Chief of Staff to Commander of the Armed Forces of Afghanistan".

On March 1, 2005 President Hamid Karzai appointed him as Chief of Staff for Commander, although it is unclear whether this position has a real strength.

Charlottetown, CANADA (News CAIRO) - The Muslims who use a basement in downtown Charlottetown as the mosque was disappointed when a local doctor said that the place was not good enough.

Sefau Doctors said last week that he and a group of Muslims has asked the government to help build a mosque "official" for Muslims in PEI (Prince Edward Island - Prince Edward Island).

Sohail Hashmi has offered the basement on Queen Street for praying five times over the last five years. About 80 people use the mosque regularly.

"If you remember the time of Prophet Muhammad, the mosque when it was actually building with walls made of mud and thatched branches of the trees," said Hashmi.

Dr. Suleiman Hashmi said that the Muslim population in PEI only about 250 people and not enough to need a bigger place. He said that Muslims who use the mosque was annoyed with Sefau statement.

"They were really disappointed with Sefau statement that there was no mosque in PEI, we have to build a mosque number one, We have no mosques number one," said Hashmi.

"Stop begging people, do this first, make the mosque is a mosque that success, then we increase our own resources."

Sefau not alone in his call for a new mosque. Najmul, president of the Muslim Community PEI, Hashmi said that he appreciates that permit people to use the basement, but it would be better if the Muslims have their own place of worship.

Late last October the provincial government refused requests for assistance Sefau to build the first mosque in PEI

Dr. Sefau Suleiman said that other Muslim professionals have left the island because there is no place for them to worship.

Sefau moved to Charlottetown with his wife and three sons two years ago. He said that his family liked the island, except for the absence of a mosque. On Friday, Muslims perform Friday prayers in the basement Hashmi. However, Sefau want a real mosque.

"The Muslims perform prayers five times a day. In my hometown, mosque also serves as a school. It is a place to learn Arabic, which is the language of the Koran. The mosque is part of Muslim lives," said Sefau.

The Muslim community in that place has been raising funds, said Sefau, but it takes four to five years longer to reach the amount needed, $ 500,000, and some of them do not want to wait that long.

"I have a friend who moved two months ago," said Sefau.

"He was a radiologist and he went to British Columbia (Canada) just because there is no mosque here. That is the main reason."

Sefau ask for help from the provincial government. He expects the price cut may lease land or buildings, but he was told that the government does not give aid money to religious groups.

However, the government of Prince Edward region have taken different approaches. Mayor Brian Skakun said that makes sense economically for the city to help the Muslims built the first mosque in the area by giving them a piece of land.

"We want to diversify our economy, but we also want to diversify the basis of our culture and it will help the economy in the long run," said Sakkun.

"If your community does not build it, anyone else who will do it."

Charlottetown Mayor David MacDonald said that he wanted to meet with Sefau to see whether the city can help the construction of mosques in the region.

He visited the office of the Examiner after the question and answer session about community cohesion in the Quaker Church Scholes, Cleckheaton.

Naeemi has been visiting community groups, schools, churches and mosques in the UK to listen to people's concerns about community cohesion.

He said the session Scholes has included questions about Muslim women who cover their faces, veil, integration and teachings of the faith.

"As a Muslim, I was covering the face was not necessary because it is not compulsory in Islam," he said.

"Islam gives very clear guidelines about dress code."

"I am not in a position to sue the people what to do and what not to do, but I can express my own opinion. And so in a society where we live with so many people. As a minority, we must have wisdom."

"It is our responsibility to be as flexible as possible so that we can be accepted."

"We have stayed here on our own choice. We are not forced to stay here."

Naeemi agree there are many negative perceptions that surround Islam but said he was optimistic the situation will improve.

"We can live together,''he said." There is no reason why we can not live together. "

"Muslims have historically lived as a good neighbor with Jews and Christians in various parts of the world."

"We must be optimistic and not lose heart."

Naeemi said in a public debate involving the BNP is "double-edged sword", but said he supports dialogue with those who are against Islam and said he would be ready to meet with Nick Griffin.

He added: "The only way forward is to accept each other and move forward with unity and harmony.

"But Muslims should not be targeted exclusively.

"I strongly feel that the Government should not be focused only on one community."

And he said the Huddersfield Daily Examiner is one of the leading newspapers across the country in how to report on the diversity of its people.

Naeemi said: "As someone who lives and works in London, I have heard many good things about the Huddersfield Daily Examiner and its efforts to reach all the diverse and different people who settled in Huddersfield.

"I also tend to access the Huddersfield Daily Examiner from the internet."

"We all live in an age of globalization is changing rapidly and we are all part of a huge global community."

"Even the holy city of Mecca has opened a McDonald's and KFC outlets in today. No continent is immune from these changes.

DALLAS, TEXAS (News CAIRO) - A leading media clinic in Dallas, Texas, sparked controversy by saying that a Muslim doctor who apply for work in place may not wear a headscarf if it was received.

This female doctor looking for his first job after completing education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Hena Zaki from Plano, Texas, said on Friday that he was surprised to learn policies that prohibit the use of hats or head coverings in CareNow clinic, which operates 22 clinics in the Metroplex, also applies to the head.

Zaki was traveling in one CareNow clinic two weeks ago when the regional medical director of the clinic told her that he did not want Zaki surprised about the policy during orientation.

"He interrupted the interview and said that he would not misunderstand me," said Zaki. "As long you know."

After that, Zaki and her husband, Rehan Zaki, wrote an email to the department of human resources policies CareNow ask whether it also applies to wearing the hijab and explained that they felt discriminated against. Zaki said that the president send a brief reply that reinforce the enactment of these regulations.

The 29-year-old doctor is demanding an apology and a change in policy CareNow.

CareNow Leader, Tim Miller, refused to apologize, saying that there is nothing wrong with that policy, he argues, does not discriminate based on race, sex, or national origin.

"CareNow great respect for the religious beliefs of all employees," said Miller. "In the past, has consistently CareNow accommodate their employees religious beliefs when those beliefs conflict with the company dress code policy."

Council on American-Islamic Relations (Council on American-Islamic Relations / CAIR) has criticized the policy that prohibits the hijab it, calling it a violation of federal law.

"This is clearly a violation," said the manager of the civil rights of the Board, Khadija Athman. "This is a case about religious accommodation. I do not see any difficulties faced by the clinic to accommodate the adoption of the hijab."

This week, CAIR wrote in CareNow on behalf Zaki, showing that the law requires the employer to provide religious accommodation for employees. This advocacy group explained to the company that like many other Muslim women, Zaki over his head as a symbol of modesty and religious beliefs.

CareNow not perceive the letter from CAIR.

Council officials mengataan that complaints from women about those who were told to remove her headscarf in the workplace has been greatly reduced lately, as more and more employers are aware of their responsibilities under the Civil Rights Act. The law also prevents the boss away from the responsibility to provide religious accommodation because they think the public would not feel comfortable with certain relijiur practices.

Zaki said that he had worn a headscarf since she was 14 years and this is the first time a boss objected. "This is not a hat. This is not sports memorabilia," he said.
