25 Youth dead in ship refugee Italia

Italian coast guard officials found 25 bodies in the refugee ships containing 271 people. The ship reached the island of Lampedusa, located in southern Italy, today.

Up to now, unknown cause of death of 25 young men in the refugee ship, but they were allegedly killed by asphyxiation due to many people inside the ship. Similarly, as reported by AFP on Monday (01/08/2011).

The bodies were found when the refugees to move the ship, the ship of refugees to the coast guard ship. A total of 271 refugees rescued, they were among 36 women and 21 children.

As many as thousands of refugees now fleeing from Libya, most of them working in Africa and within a few weeks, they get to Lampedusa.

They fled because of the situation in Libya is increasingly heated. Battle still takes place between the Libyan troops and Libyan opposition forces in several areas.

The journey from North Africa to Italy takes approximately two days. Also reported hundreds of refugees drowned in the sea by the storm. Ships used to cross from Libya also reportedly already rickety.
