Boost Attack Pakistan, residents evacuate

More than 100 thousand citizens of Pakistan to flee from his home in the border regions of Afghanistan after Pakistani military launched an operation to combat militants.

Thousands of families fled from the district of Kurram after military operations began earlier this month in an area full with Al Qaeda and Taliban militants.

"So far, we have record 9944 families were displaced," said a senior Pakistani official Sahibzada Anis, told AFP on Wednesday (27/07/2011).

Anis menyatkaan, more than 1,800 families currently living in refugee camps, while the others stayed in the family home or rented residence.

Refugee camps set up in schools and universities that are currently vacant due to summer vacations. Government of Pakistan also reportedly will add a holiday for schools because the military operation in Kurram is still ongoing.

The Pakistani army has vowed to clean the Kurram of militants, including suicide bomb attacks and kidnap or kill local people.

A total of seven rural areas of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan into a haven for Al Qaeda and the Taliban. The region is even said by the United States as the most dangerous place in the world.
