Death Penalty in Saudi Arabia condemned!

Saudi Arabia, Amnesty International called for stopping the death penalty. This appeal is phrased as arcing executions in Saudi Arabia is on the rise.

Approximately 27 people were executed in 2011 in this oil-producing countries. The number of executions in Saudi Arabia is currently equal to 2010 and then, in May, 15 people were subject to capital punishment.

"Saudi Arabian security authorities must stop the death penalty and lighten his sentence immediately," said Deputy Director of Amnesty International's Middle East and North Africa, as reported by Reuters on Saturday (11/06/2011).

Criminal acts such as rape, murder, armed robbery, and narcotics trafficking are subject to capital punishment in the country.
