Head of Foreign Affairs of the European Union, Catherine Ashton, held a dialogue with the rebel leader of Libya, Mustafa Abdel Jalil. They discuss the European aid to the rebels. Similarly, as reported by
Ashton said, "I have seen a vision of Libyan society today. I saw a poster when I came from the airport that read 'we have a dream'."
In his conversation with Mustafa, Ashton also said that aid for the rebels are considered potential border management, security reform, economic, health, education, and aid to civil society.
Nevertheless, the European Union does not provide assistance in the form of weapons. Party rebels do think that the weapons needed to face the power of Gaddafi.
