Devastating tornado ravaged U.S.

Hurricane tornado struck the City Joplin, Missouri, United States (U.S.) today. Reportedly many of the victims killed in this disaster, but the exact number is unknown.

Based on the imaging took place after the tornado, it was apparent severe damage caused by the storm was a tornado. Currently the number of deaths reportedly 24 people, but seen from the damage estimated the death toll will continue to grow.

The death toll was quoted by newspaper the Springfield News, while local authorities are still trying to determine the number of deaths. While the number of injured is still not known clearly.

Tornado storm also caused power off in some areas of Joplin. A church known even destroyed by this devastating storm.

"The power cut off, we were unable to contact the victims," said weather expert from the National Weather Service Bill Davis as quoted by The New York Times, Monday (23/05/2011).

Earlier in May 2008, a tornado storm also occurred near the area of ​​Joplin. At that same force that attacked Joplin tornadoes today, but lucky the storm did not touch the City of Joplin at the time.
