Vietnam kills 70 Citizens Nails & Mouth Disease

Outbreaks of foot and mouth disease in Vietnam killed 70 people this year, and as many as 23 thousand people have contracted the disease. Most of the victims is a child under five years old.

Officials from the Ministry of Health of Vietnam Nguyen Van Binh menyatkaan, the disease is spreading in southern Vietnam.

Foot-and-Mouth Disease or enterovirus 71 (EV-71) often occurs in Vietnam. The boy who was suffering from a fever contracted the disease which will continue to be paralyzed, weak brain or even death. Similarly, as reported by the Associated Press on Friday (07/29/2011).

Foot and mouth disease has long been happening in the world and is often transmitted in the summer. In addition to attacking the child, the disease also attacks cattle. Adults are generally more resistant to enteroviruses although they can also be infected.

Transmission of the disease via the respiratory tract as well. The disease can heal itself, but also can lead to death when attacking the brain.
