Free hostages, 3 Militants Shot in Kashmir

Three militants were shot dead by troops at a house in Kashmir district of Kupwara, Kashmir.

A total of two terrorists believed to be hiding in a house located in the Village Maidanpora located 120 kilometers from Srinagar.

Among the militants, the two men suspected to be the commander of the Lashkar e Taiba, which is often militant operations in Pakistan.

Troops eventually managed to free a woman who became hostages militants. Similarly, as reported by IANS on Friday (07/15/2011).

Military officials claimed the woman was safe and unharmed. The victim's family held hostage finally came for her.

Lashkar E Taiba often launch attacks into India. The attacks in Mumbai in 2008 and then allegedly an attack Lashkar e Taiba. These militant groups are also often operate in Kashmir.
