Strauss-Kahn Claims Diplomatic Invulnerability

Former Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Dominique Strauss-Kahn that involved rape, attempted to claim diplomatic immunity to keep herself free from all charges.

This claim he was trying to point out when Strauss-Kahn new escorted off the plane the Air France May 14, when he was reported acts of rape against a hotel clerk in New York, United States (U.S.).

Based on transcripts from the police, Strauss-Kahn stated, "I have diplomatic immunity. But when dilenggang to the police station he actually refused to have diplomatic immunity.

"No, I will not use it (diplomatic immunity). I just want to know whether the latter is provided a lawyer," Strauss-Kahn said in a transcript of U.S. police report quoted by Reuters on Friday (17/06/2011).

According to the IMF itself said that diplomatic immunity can not be claimed by a Frenchman, because at the time the incident occurred he was not in the capacity as an IMF official. She was in private affairs.

Strauss-Kahn was arrested by New York police after a Sofitel hotel employee reported it had committed rape last May 14. Employees are forced to perform oral sex, but managed to escape and report the actions of French President candidate man to the police.
