Gaddafi Accused of Rape Bulk Orders

Investigators of the International Criminal Court (ICC) claims that Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi had ordered the mass rape against villagers who opposed him. Gaddafi also claimed to give stimulants to his soldiers to attack the women.

Investigator ICC Luis Moreno-Ocampo urged Gaddafi charged with mass rape, based on new evidence that he got.
"We get information that Gaddafi himself ordered the rape, this is all new," said Moreno-Ocampo told AFP on Thursday (09/06/2011).

Moreno-Ocampo claimed to have reports of hundreds of women were attacked around in some areas in Libya. "There is evidence that the Government of Libya to buy drugs such as Viagra (semacama tonic) and gave it to his troops, as part of the command rape," he continued.

ICC special investigator explained that the act of rape is a new aspect of government repression Gaddafi. "We believe they committed rape as part of a new form of punishment," said Moreno-Ocampo.

Gaddafi regime that has survived for 42 years in Libya is not known to use rape as a weapon to the opposition. Morena-Ocampo should look for evidence that the Libyan leader said it ordered the rape.

Libya last March a woman makes a scene by entering a hotel in Tripoli and share the experience of rape out of shame. Iman al-Obeidi claimed to foreign journalists at the hotel, that she was raped by troops Gaddafi. Today he was in evacuation centers in Romania.

ICC judges will decide the charges of rape itself will be directed to the Gaddafi or not within the next few days. While the Libyan government will not recognize the power of explaining the ICC in its territory.
