600 Childhood Lead Poisoning in China

More than 600 children in China suffering from lead poisoning. As many as 103 of them complained of pain due to this poisoning.

According to Xinhua News Agency reported on Monday (6/13/2011), the majority of victims are children who work in the tin mill at 25 factories in Yangxunqiao City, Zhejiang Province.

Results of investigation ,diektahui 26 adults and 103 children had severe lead poisoning . Meanwhile, 494 others suffered mild poisoning.

China in recent years with problems with metal contamination experienced by residents. Reportedly thousands of children lead poisoning in several provinces in the period 2009 and 2010.

Most of the victims lived in the factory metal or even a battery factory. Apart from lead poisoning, children in China have also suffered poisoning melamine in their dairy products. The incident caused 300 babies ill and some of them even died.
