Bomb thrown at the Mexican media

A Mexican newspaper media pelted with explosives that are directed at their office. The incident occurred in the city of Saltillo, Coahuila state.

Mexican Attorney General's Office said the perpetrators of the attack was not known until this. Attackers threw explosives at the Vanguardia newspaper office. So reported the Associated Press, Tuesday (31/05/2011).

No casualties were reported in this incident. But the newspaper office are known to experience severe damage.

The attack took place Monday, May 30 at midnight local time. Police were still investigating the motive of the attack but could not find a clue.

Approximately 22 journalists were reported killed in Mexico since the government launched operations against drug cartels since 2006. A total of 26 to 30 thousand people were reportedly killed in the operation that was launched by President Felipe Calderon is.
