Tony Blair Reading the Qur'an Every Afternoon

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair admitted he always read the Koran every day. Retired from politics, it makes him have the time to read the Koran.

Blair was indeed this attitude of the ordinary. In general, Mr Blair was reluctant to talk about religion, especially when he served as prime minister. But since 2007 ago, when he left Downing Streets 10, which is the office of British prime minister, himself now a more open view of religion.

"I read the Koran every day. This I do to understand what is happening in the world. I saw the Quran is very instructive," Blair said as quoted by the Daily Mail, Monday (13/06/2011).

Senior Labor Party politician is sure to have more knowledge of Islam to help his role as special envoy to the Middle East. His work set by the United Nations, the United States, Russia and the EU was intended to help the peace between the Palestinians and Israel.

Blair had said that Islam is a beautiful religion. Regarded himself as a figure of the Prophet Muhammad is very encouraging humanity. In 2006 he called the Koran as a book reformist very inclusive.

"The Quran is very elevated and very hated science superstition. In addition, the Qur'an is also very practical and far more advanced when discussing the attitude of facing marriage, keseteraan women and governance,"said Blair.
