Agus Salim was arrested on Monday, June 6 and then at a restaurant, where he worked in New Johor. When arrested, the man from Sumatra are known to use false names.
Salim was arrested in 2009 and then under the Internal Security Act of Malaysia (ISA). It was Agus Salim thought to help hide Mas Congratulations bin Kastari who is known as the leader of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) in Singapore.
Mas Congratulations escaped from jail with tight security in Singapore in 2008 and into Malaysia, before being arrested again in 2009 ago. While Agus Salim in deportation to Indonesia a few months after Mas Congratulations arrested.
