Archaeologists in Jiangsu province, China, has found approximately 200 thousands of ancient coins in a well at a building construction.
These coins, weighing a total of approximately four tons, was found in the city of Suzhou, Jiangsu province. Scientists estimate that these coins come from the Northern Song Dynasty, about 960 years until 1126.
As quoted from New Kerala, Sunday (05/06/2011), the construction worker who first discovered the coin.
This discovery directly led archaeologists to rush to the site and explore the site, for security reasons thing these findings.
Archaeologists assume that a large number of coins may be hidden by a few wealthy families. However, these findings must still be investigated further.
