Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and the Capital Market Supervisory Agency and Financial Institution Supervisory Agency (Bapepam-LK) today officially launched trading of shares sharia.

Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in cooperation with PT Indonesia Securities Clearing Guarantee (KPEI) and PT Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) has launched a Shariah fatwa Share Trading Mechanism and Stock Index Syariah Indonesia (ISSI), whose implementation in conjunction with a series of events Sharia Investments Capital Market.
"With the issuance of fatwas that we will use it as an ingredient in socialization and education to the Muslims and Muslimat potential as an investor in the stock market," said Director of BEI Ito Warsito the launch in Jakarta, Thursday (12/05/2011) as taken from the official website of the Ministry of Finance.
On this occasion, IDX launched Fatwa number 80 on the Application of Sharia in Equity Securities Trading Mechanisms in Regular Stock Exchange which was approved by the Shariah Board of the National Council of Ulama Indonesia (DSN-MUI) on March 8, 2011.
With the ratification of the fatwa, the operation of securities trading at BEI has basic or strong legal jurisprudence, namely that the continuous auction mechanism (continuous auction) used IDX in equity securities transactions in the regular market has been in accordance with Islamic principles.
"The fatwa is making continuous auction mechanism used by IDX in equity securities transactions in the regular market has been in accordance with Islamic principles," explained Director of Development IDX Friderica Widyasari Goddess.
Also, on this day also held launch of ISSI is intended as a reference for investors to invest in shares sharia.
The launch of this index is expected to be the main indicators that can describe the performance of all stocks listed on the IDX sharia and help dispel misconceptions people who think that Islamic stock only consists of 30 stocks included in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). Currently, there are 214 shares of sharia in BEI with total capitalization of 43.6 percent of total market capitalization.
