Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa said the Indonesian Embassy (embassy) in Libya has been closed.
"Yesterday, March 27 along with 4 peopleback the Indonesian embassy staff . Embassystatus has closed , "Martysaid when meeting with the Commission I , in the Parliament Building in Jakarta on Monday ( 3/28/2011 ).
He admitted, embassy functions will still be conducted through the Embassy in Tunisia. Nevertheless, it is ready to make efforts to provide assistance. The reason is, there is still an Indonesian Citizen (WNI) residing in Libya. Currently, Marty continued, there are still some Indonesian journalists in Libya.
"There are three journalists from Indonesia who served in Libya and did not rule out any other citizens in Libya. If there is we will do more help," he said.
Truce
According to Marty, based on data received Kemenlu, there are approximately 6500 civilians who are victims of violence and casualties.
Thus, further Marty, the position of Indonesia strongly opposed and rejected violence in Libya. In addition, Indonesia has asked for a cease-fire should take effect. Today, he continued, Indonesia is pushing the political dialogue of communication with relevant parties.
"Therefore, since the beginning of Indonesia made truce and we are also being rolled out to encourage political dialogue,"he concluded.
